Strategies and campaigns of national youth policies for diversity and tolerance, as for example the German strategy for tolerance and democracy.
Several European countries are developing strategies and campaigns of national youth policy and youth work for diversity and tolerance. The German campaign, “Youth for tolerance and democracy – against far-right extremism, xenophobia and anti-semitism”, initiated in 2001, is a comprehensive action programme, strengthening democratic behaviour and civil commitment among young people in Germany and promoting tolerance and cosmopolitanism. This and other national campaigns and strategies for tolerance and democracy in other countries shall be presented and discussed in a practice-oriented way.
