How to contribute to the website?

The conference website is designed as a multi-user system, that allows every participant of the conference to contribute on an individual basis. The idea is to set up a lively, interactive environment that enables you not only to read and receive information, but also to create content on your own and share useful information with other participants before, during and after the actual conference in Berlin.

We would like to encourage you to contribute in two distinct areas:

1. Project Presentations

In order to provide other participants with background information about you activities you are invited to present your project in the conference's project database. If you click on the link "projects" in the navigation menu on the right sidebar or go directly to http://youth-against-racism.net/taxonomy/term/20 you will see a list of project presentations.

At http://youth-against-racism.net/node/add/flexinode-1 you can submit your own project to this database. Please fill the form and enter the title and optionally a subtitle of your project, provide an URL or webadress, the name of the organization that runs the project as well as a meaningful description of the project. After you pressed the "submit" button on the bottom of the site your project will be listed in the database.

2. Partcipants Contributions

In addition to the chance to present your project in the projects database we provide you an opportunity to contribute individually in the section "Participants Contributions". If you click on the link "create content" in the navigation menu on the right sidebar or go directly to http://youth-against-racism.net/node/add/blog you have the chance to submit your "personal blog entry". This means that you can upload individual postings that provide useful information, interesting links or material related to the topics of the conference, or share your ideas and impressions.

A blog is a regularly updated journal or diary made up of individual posts shown in reversed chronological order. A blog is tightly coupled to the author so each participant of the conference will have his or her 'own' blog. This is the place where you can take part in the discussion on the conference, the venue and the programme.

Please enter a meaningful title, choose one or more categories in which your posting is supposed to fit in and add your contribution in the textfield "Body". If you need help on formatting you find a list of "compose tips" at: http://youth-against-racism.net/filter/tips

Every registered user of the website may also comment on and discuss the participants contributions. Just click on "add comment" and you can post an additional remark or hint. If you are specifically interested in the replies to a specific posting you can choose to get notified by email about follow-up postings.

Please allow us to once more underline the fact that, in order to enjoy the extended privileges of contributing to the website as described above and accessing restricted areas, you have to be registered as a participant and properly logged onto the system. If you have any kind of problem using the website, please contact us at any time and try to describe the problem you encountered as detailled as possible.
