After official opening of the conference which took place at Centrum Judaicum, the participants were transferred back to Hotel Dolce. And after having lunch at 3 o’clock we started the discussions.

Participants were divided into ten groups. Each of the groups settled down in its own room and discussed topics. There were ten topics – one for every working group. The discussions started with introductory part – every participant shortly told about him/her mentioning a name, country, organization and experienced connected to the topic of the discussion. Then there were brief presentation made by experts.

After that part started the real discussion – participants together with experts were sharing experience, making suggestions. This was the most interesting part. The time flow very quickly and at 5 o’clock we had to finish. The discussions showed that young participants have lots of ideas for projects and declaration. This is just the first day of the conference and the discussions will surely continue.

As the result of the discussion every group had to decide on one or two proposals for tomorrow discussions. That was a hard work to make just two proposals from all the ideas discussed. Proposals made within groups showed what things seems to be most serious and actual in the field of antiracism and discrimination. These discussions were just the starting point of the conference and furter cooperetion.

Then the participants from all the groups met together. Every group presented their proposals and in brief told about the context of them, so to make sure that all the participants understand things that were discussed in the other groups. All together we had 19 concrete proposals from 10 groups. After presentations there was discussion about similarities in the proposals made by different groups. And as the result of this brainstorming similar proposals were connected and at the end from 19 we came to final 10.

Tomorrow there will be discussions in small groups once again. But this time we are going to discus final 10 proposals. There will be much more time for discussions, networking and working on proposals for the declaration of the conference.
